One slow enrollment season shouldn't put your club at risk. Here's how to make sure it doesn't.
Enrollment and retention marketing for travel and club organizations: campaigns that fill rosters, a plan to keep families, and a plan for incidents that can sink a season.
The problem, as you'd put it
- Roster gaps heading into a season, with the facility lease due either way.
- Prospective families choosing another club, and you only hear about it afterward.
- One bad incident, or one parent dispute, spreading through a community where everyone knows everyone.
- No steady re-enrollment pipeline. Each season starts from close to zero.
Travel and club organizations run on thin margins, often lease the facilities they use, and depend on filling rosters every season. One bad enrollment season can put real strain on the organization, and many clubs have no one whose job is marketing, enrollment, or retention.
What's included
Enrollment-season marketing campaigns
A campaign built around your enrollment calendar, with the messages, materials, and timing to reach prospective families before they've committed elsewhere.
Family retention and re-enrollment strategy
A plan for keeping the families you have, covering when and how you communicate and how re-enrollment gets asked for. It's meant to run on a volunteer's or coach's time.
Positioning against competing clubs in your region
A clear read on how nearby clubs present themselves, and a position for yours that gives a family a real reason to choose you.
Reputation and communication guidance
A written plan for handling incidents that can sink enrollment fast: who says what, to whom, and how soon. It's communications guidance and not legal advice.
Who you’d be working with
Zubie Five Sports is run by Adam Zubiate in Tempe, Arizona. Adam has spent about a decade in sports corporate partnerships, including work connected to the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Arizona Hotshots, and the LA Clippers G League Team. That job is mostly working out what a team or league actually has to offer and saying it clearly to someone deciding in a few seconds. Adam has done the same brand strategy and marketing work for independent authors, which is a useful comparison: small operation, no marketing department, and a buyer who has a lot of other options.
This consulting is separate from Zubie Five's sponsorship brokerage.
