Retail & Grocery Stores: From a One-Time Check to a Standing Partnership

Shoppers come through your doors every week, and a team that shows up there every month stays familiar. Here is a different way to work with a local team, built around a standing, recurring relationship instead of a single sponsorship check.

The shift

What changes for you

You’ve probably been handed a sponsorship form before: a check, a logo on a banner, and then not much until next year. A standing partnership works differently. It repeats on its own, it fits the way your business already runs, and it puts your name in front of the same families all season.

What a standing partnership can look like

  • Team Discount Day. A recurring “Team Discount Day” on the same day each month, not a one-time event.
  • Team-branded product bundle. A team-branded bundle on your shelves all year, with every sale supporting the team.
  • Photo or signing day. Host a team photo day or signing event in your store.
  • Loyalty-card tie-in. A loyalty-card tie-in: shopper rewards points redeemable toward team gear.
  • Round-up at the register. A round-up-at-register program open to every customer.
  • Community board. Visible community presence: a bulletin board with the team schedule and standings.
Check the rules first. Programs that ask customers to give, such as register round-ups and per-unit donations, are regulated as charitable solicitation or commercial co-venture activity in some states, with registration or disclosure requirements. Set them up in writing with the team and check your state's rules. None of this is legal or tax advice.
The common thread

Why this is worth a reply

Each of these ideas replaces a one-time ask with a standing relationship. The goal isn't one big weekend. It's a store that families think of as the team's store, week after week. And because Zubie Five matches teams with businesses instead of leaving a volunteer committee to cold-pitch, you’d be hearing from a team that fits your business, with the relationship built to repeat.
