What does it cost to work with Zubie Five?
Nothing upfront. We operate on a commission-only basis — typically 15–30% of the sponsorship deals we close on your behalf, scaled to deal size, with renewal rates that decline every season. $1,000 minimum per season across your whole sponsorship program — no minimum on any single sponsorship. No retainers, no monthly fees, no payment until we deliver results, and your exact rates are in your agreement before we make a single call. See the full commission structure →
What types of sports organizations do you work with?
All of them — little leagues, soccer clubs, high school athletics, basketball leagues, football programs, cheer, swim, track, nonprofits, and community rec leagues. If you run athletic programs and need sponsorship revenue, we want to hear from you.
How long does it take to get sponsors?
It depends on your organization size, market, and timing. Some deals close within weeks. Others take a 60-90 day sales cycle. We give you a realistic timeline based on your specific situation during our initial assessment.
We're too small / our sport isn't well-known. Is this even worth it for us?
Not on either count. Local businesses often prefer smaller, community-based organizations — the audience is hyper-local and the relationship is personal, which matters more to them than raw size. The same goes for less mainstream sports: what a business is paying for is a specific, loyal audience that shows up in person, not name recognition for the sport itself. Even small, single-team programs in niche sports land meaningful sponsorships with the right pitch.
What if we already have some sponsors?
Great — that is a starting point, not a ceiling. We will audit what you have, identify gaps, look for upsell opportunities with current sponsors, and work to expand your overall roster and revenue.
What if my sponsor is also sponsoring other organizations you represent?
That's a regional program, and it uses a different commission structure than a standalone sponsorship — I'll always explain the specifics in writing before it applies to any deal of yours.
Our registration platform already offers sponsorship money — why do we need this?
Platform-based sponsorship programs are usually a guaranteed minimum from a national brand pool, matched automatically once you're a paying customer — not money someone found specifically for your organization. Keep that revenue; it's real. What I add is different: I look at your actual inventory, price it against real local market data, and go make calls to businesses in your own community. Those aren't competing income sources — most organizations run both at once.
How do I know Zubie Five won't take our sponsor's money and disappear?
Zubie Five is never the merchant of record. Your sponsor pays your organization directly, into your own account. Zubie Five then sends your organization a separate invoice for commission, after the money is already in your hands. There's no point in the process where Zubie Five touches a sponsor's payment.
What happens if we sign and it doesn't work out?
The representation agreement has no fixed term and can be cancelled by either side with 30 days' written notice. There's no penalty for ending the relationship, and you keep everything already closed.
Is this considered fundraising? Do we need to register as using a professional solicitor?
Sponsorship and advertising payments are structurally different from charitable solicitation. A business paying for a banner or program ad is purchasing advertising — not making a donation, and Zubie Five isn't soliciting the general public on your behalf. This is why sponsorship revenue is treated differently under tax and state fundraising-registration rules than a donation drive. That said, I'm not a lawyer — I'd encourage your board to confirm this with your own counsel for your specific situation.
What happens to our sponsors if you can't continue operating?
There's no long-term risk, because there's no long-term commitment. Nothing is paid upfront, and either side can end the agreement with 30 days' notice. If I were ever unable to continue, you'd keep every sponsor relationship already closed — those are yours — and you'd be free to find new representation for anything not yet closed.
